Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop in an object-oriented programming language Java. Translate business requirements into technical solutions.  Analyze existing modules for improvements and design new modules that satisfy requirements. Assess gaps, updates, and modifications between business requirement and existing solutions. Deliver highly scalable and durable distributed systems. Create simple, testable and maintainable code.  Create and develop REST APIs to integrate various modules. Design solutions needing asynchronous communication between modules through Kafka. Design and implement solutions leveraging cloud infrastructure and solutions to provide highly resilient and scalable applications. Work on CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins. Deliver code deployable through containers using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborating with various team members to deliver high quality solutions. Analyze Application logs, maintain activity data and perform analysis to identify and fix any potential issues.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming language including Java and Python. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java. Experience designing and implementing micro-services using Java Spring Boot. Experience designing and implementing asynchronous communication between modules through Kafka. Experience testing application modules using Java, Mockito or Junit. Experience designing solutions leveraging various cloud computing resources. Experience implementing and maintaining various SQL database systems and queries including Oracle. Experience creating and maintaining deployment pipelines through Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment. Experience delivering and maintaining code deployable through containers including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience maintaining build tools to build modules for deployment through Maven. Experience working with source control tools including Git. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $147,481/year to $234,000/year.  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
