Position Summary...

What you will do

GTP Developer Platform team provides the best means to take advantage of the cloud by providing outstanding tools, services, assistance, and knowledge, so every customer realizes their goals and desired value. This role is in the Developer Experience organization. We are building the next generation of developer productivity tools powered by Generative AI. We are looking for experienced engineers to help us build the next generation of pipeline and build tools leveraging the latest GenAI technologies. 

 

As a Full Stack Engineer @Walmart, you’ll have the opportunity to  

  • Build and manage solutions and tools, including testing and validation tools that span across infrastructure platform, web, mobile interfaces. 

  • Play a crucial role in building the next generation of pipeline and build tools for the Walmart developer community. 

  • Development of visualization and observability framework which would help teams improve their software delivery processes using metrics. 

  • Do a deep-dive analysis into problem areas and contribute to redesigns that are faster, cleaner, and require less maintenance. 

  • Enjoy working on challenges that no one has solved yet. 

  • Enable Engineering teams to build applications which are tested, validated and production ready.

Your Responsibility 

  • Experienced full stack performance engineer motivated to make all things run fast. 

  • Interested in scaling a highly performant ecommerce platform. 

  • Enable developers and business teams understand where bottlenecks or issues exist in their services from a performance context. 

  • Self-starter who thrives in a startup-like culture. 

  • Enjoy working on complicated technical challenges, learning from, and collaborating with experienced engineers. 

  • Needs to contribute to the Open-Source community to help improve the performance and resiliency ecosystem. 

  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize. 

  

Key Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field. 

  • 7+ years of Java and JavaScript development experience    

  • Experience in using ReactJs/JavaScript/CSS/HTML5 for frontend development   

  • Experience in developing REST APIs, streaming APIs, reactive programming in Java   

  • Experience in event or message driven applications using Kafka   

  • Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL(MongoDB) and search databases like Elasticsearch/Solr. 

  • Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance. 

  • DevOps Experience with public cloud (MSFT Azure, AWS, etc)   

  • Source Control tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Repos etc)   

  • CICD tools ( Jenkins, Travis CI, Bamboo, Azure Pipelines etc.)   

  • Problem solving and troubleshooting design and development issues and providing appropriate solutions.   

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams   

  • Experience in Agile methodologies   

  • Experience working with global teams   

  • A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools. 

  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Good understanding of metadata driven development 

  • Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills. 

 

It would be preferable if you have: 

  • Experience with AI/ML 

  • Experience building scalable stateless service in Kubernetes.
