Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

• Owning the end-to-end performance with a shift-left attitude through design, launch, and operation: Support architecture design, influence requirements, and help support new product launch.
• Tackling performance issues for cutting edge technologies: Analyze and debug difficult server-side performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience.
• Working collaboratively with a large group of engineers from all disciplines within Engineering to improve code base performance (e.g., algorithm redesign), reduce resource consumption and shorten request latency and present findings to a group with a varying degree of technical as well as business experience.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Over all 5-8 years of programming experience in Python & Java. Plus, to have in Golang/Scala.
• 3+ years of experience in performance tool - Apache JMeter & JMX Scripting
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps skills like Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Bash Script, Git, SVN, Jenkins 2, Maven
• 5+ years of experience in systems design, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Good knowledge of DevOps, CICD tech stack and ecosystem.
• Strong in Kafka stream & REST API development.
• Good Knowledge and understanding on JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, AJAX, React.js, Node.js
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience on both SQL/NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL
• Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure like Azure, GCP.
• A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
• Exposure to information retrieval, statistics, and machine learning.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of metadata driven development
