What you'll do...

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 702 S.W. 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716

Telecommuting/working from anywhere in the U.S. is permissible.

Duties: Serve as technical subject matter expert on React.js language. Guide team members on best practices and operational excellence, perform code reviews, and plan teamwork with manager and other leads. Implement and maintain Web online shopping application and associated unit, functional, and integration test coverage. Use React.js, MVVM, Jest, TestRails, and GraphQL. Build reusable, customizable Web components. Collaborate with Product, iOS, Android, Web teams, and partners to estimate level of efforts and define requirements, technical tasks, and timelines. Implement accessible application (ADA). Ensure code follows best practices and is well tested. Write unit, UI, and functional tests. Participate in code reviews. Ensure features can be monitored, participate in on-call rotations, and implement alerts, reports, and dashboards using Splunk. Guide root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information and provide a timely fix. Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents and propose solutions. Estimate level of effort to deliver a feature and deliver on time. Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies including grooming, daily standup, and planning. Provide Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for various environments including Staging and Production. Test and troubleshoot system with network/OS tools including Charles, Proxyman, Splunk queries, and Linux commands (curl). Create detailed technical documentation for reference and reporting which includes documents (data schema, use case diagrams, user requirements, end-user views, security requirements, backward compatibility, data recovery and backup, and testing and evaluation). Perform release captain duty and site monitoring on-call duty. Develop monitoring dashboards and setup operational alerts. Take actions to reduce error rates and improve performance in order to maintain operational excellence. Enhance and update CI/CD process flows for development and deployment. Use JIRA, confluence, and git for daily scrum process. Telecommuting/working from anywhere in the U.S. is permissible.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience developing web frontend applications using JavaScript, React and Node.js. Experience coding using MVVM or MVC architecture. Experience designing and implementing logging for monitoring, alerting, and building reports and dashboards using Splunk. Experience with version control and peer code reviews using git. Experience managing technical projects with Agile Scrum Process, grooming user stories, creating technical tasks, estimating effort, and reporting on progress. Experience with tickets management system Jira. Experience with unit, UI, and functional testing using React Testing Library and Jest. Experience in troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis. Experience creating technical documentation using sequence diagrams. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $108,000/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
