What you'll do...

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Troubleshoot production systems to identify and resolve issues using real time dashboards and alerts via MMS, Grafana and Prometheus. Analyze Splunk logs for issues, pipeline failures, and troubleshooting them in the collaboration with the DevOps/Engineering team.  Build Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure that the monitoring and alerting process is automated and integrated with the development process using tools existing services such JIRA, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Maven, SOPAUI and SonarQube. Automate deployment and implement new infrastructure in a Cloud and Virtualized environment using Unix shell scripting. Write and develop code; conduct unit testing using Java and J2EE along with Service Oriented Architecture using SOAP or REST methodologies. Collaborate with development, design, program, and product team members to design, develop, and deploy innovative mobile and web applications and reliable services. Create and execute database queries for development, support and testing purposes such as verifying data integrity, checking data flow, and testing data-related functionality using Oracle SQL Developer. Work with source and version control tools such as GitHub and Azure Repos. Work with different types of APIs and use tools such as Postman and Swagger to create and execute API test cases. Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams. Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (technical feasibility, implementation strategies); research and identify needed solutions; determine implementation designs; provide guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; identify short and long term solutions; and direct users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of associate's domain. Determine and carry out necessary processes and practices; monitor progress and results; recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities; and adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to identify and resolve issues using real time dashboards and alerts via MMS, Grafana and Prometheus along with additional emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and DevOps. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Experience developing CI/CD pipeline, observability, service mesh, and implement transparent integration with existing services including GSLB, JIRA, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Maven, SOAPUI and SonarQube. Experience developing Unix Shell Scripting to automate deployment and implement new infrastructure in a google and azure Cloud Virtualized environment. Experience evaluating client applications using analytics including Splunk, xMatters, and Quantum Metrics software tools. Experience making modifications to alert tools to ensure proper monitoring of web and mobile Infrastructure. Experience implementing and maintaining disaster recovery plan and business continuity plan. Experience developing back-end applications using Java and J2EE along with Service Oriented Architecture using SOAP or REST methodologies. Experience with installation and administration of application Servers including Tomcat Apache and JBoss. Experience collaborating with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with scalability and reliability in mind. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $184,662/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
