 About Unified Data Pipeline Team:

Unified Data Pipeline is a ETL data platform for Data Engineers to Ingest data to the data lake, enrich and load to consumption layer for Big data and analytics use cases. It provides low code ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) and helps users build and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines efficiently. UDP provides managed service that makes it easy to discover, prepare, and combine data for analytics, machine learning, and application development. UDP provides both visual and code-based interfaces to make data integration easier. Application teams can visually create, run, and monitor ETL workflows with a few clicks in UDP.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Software Engineer at for Walmart , you’ll have the opportunity to

• Developing and enhancing platform that combines open-source frameworks and custom components to simplify ETL

• Analyze and design of features planned for platform evolution

• Drive the resolution of moderate to complex incidents and problems effectively in a timely manner.

• Providing technical assistance to a broad community of ETL users, such as Data Engineers, Data Analysts & Application Developers

• Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

• Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with product, engineering and management teams.

• Support business objectives by collaborating with business partners to define priorities, identify opportunities and drive resolutions.

What you'll bring:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years experience

• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in one of the following language: Java, Python.

• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with frameworks for building Web Services like Spring Boot, Play Framework

• Intermediate to Advanced capability in working with various Big Data Frameworks like Spark, Hive etc.

• Basic to Intermediate understanding of workflow orchestration Software like Airflow etc.

• Intermediate to Advanced capability in working with cloud environments like  GCP, Azure etc.

• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SQL and Databases.

• Very strong understanding and experience in the area of software development lifecycle.

• Proactively monitor, identify, and escalate issues or root causes of systemic issues

• Should have a strong problem solving, logical and analytical thinking, decision-making and excellent communication with interpersonal skills.

• A go-getter attitude who can perform independently in an agile environment and Mentor team

• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech

• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.

• Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high-level design
