Position Summary...

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Business Services: This team is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience (ADE) etc.. They also deliver a host of functions including procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From building HR chatbots and virtual assistants, to designing invoicing solutions and facilitating legal changes, Business services helps drive efficiency and flexibility across every part of Walmart’s global presence.

Enterprise Business Services @ IDC Bangalore and Chennai in India are focused on data driven, highly optimized products and implementations in the areas of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and Retail business functions for multiple Walmart markets with open stack technologies and other ERP tools.

What you will do

• Interact with customers and technology leadership and contribute to development of the technology strategy for the business, team and Walmart Global tech
• Understand business objectives and customer needs, and provide guidance to technical teams to align and deliver in line with business strategies and plans
• Develop the strategy, objectives for the team and provide operational leadership translating them to processes, requirements, projects, and metrics
• Lead a team to deliver these objectives through execution of programs and projects
• Build a high performing team, and be a sponsor for their development

Position Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy, roadmap and business outcomes for the entire Fulfillment Product Stack that will be used by multiple Walmart markets.
• Manage a strong team of product leaders and product managers helping drive customer backwards thinking and a culture of looking around the bend to stay ahead of industry and customer expectation.

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's vision and business goals. Drive innovation, ensure best practices, and lead the team to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Team Management: Build and lead a team of skilled engineers, architects, and developers focused application development. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development to team members.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UI/UX Design, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration within our product ecosystem.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with architects to design scalable, secure, and robust solutions that meet the evolving needs of our products and customers. Provide architectural oversight and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure data protection and privacy.
• Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in software engineering, & application development.
• Previous experience (5+ years) in a leadership role, managing technical teams and driving complex projects to successful completion.

Position Requirements:

• The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, an MBA or Master of Science/Tech is added advantage
• Minimum of 18 years in product management with at least 4-5 years in multi national organization.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a talented product organization (preferred someone who has experience managing distributed teams).
• Experience in driving large scale transformation and high impact product launches.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and partner with senior leadership to drive product vision.
• Ability to operate independently while earning trust of the stakeholders and operate with agility and speed.

Minimum Qualification

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 15+ years of industry experience.
