Engineering Manager - Mobile

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to own the Engineering for the VTS Mobile Platform. You’ll be leading a motivated, results-oriented team through the next phase of our business while driving efficient engineering processes and coaching team members. You’ll partner with our Director of Engineering to enable greater organizational scale and effectiveness and contribute to key strategic product and business outcomes. 

To thrive in this role, you must have a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining mobile applications and related services, coupled with experience in managing globally distributed teams. Your expertise should enable you to contribute effectively to technical strategy and decision-making processes, adeptly managing technical tradeoffs and risks while ensuring alignment with product and business goals. You have a proven ability to recruit and develop talent, further strengthening the team’s capabilities. Effective communication skills are paramount, empowering you to effectively convey ideas, coach, mentor, and educate others.

Here’s what you can expect to do as a Mobile Engineering Manager:

• Own the VTS mobile application strategy and vision.
• Manage the mobile SDK implementation.
• Manage the mobile White-Label process.
• Contribute to and guide mobile engineers in technical decisions.
• Drive a customer-first focus with a passion for building and growing empowered product teams to develop products for an international client base.
• Run and continuously improve an agile engineering process that empowers engineers with the context, and tools needed to do their best work, and promotes shipping high-quality products efficiently and predictably.
• Jointly own the teams’ execution and delivery of the product roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager.
• Work with leadership to identify strategic technology investments required to support business outcomes, and ensure those projects are properly prioritized and delivered.
• Engage and inspire the team by clearly communicating our key goals, and effectively engaging their collective expertise
• Develop and track metrics for product success and operational excellence
• Foster a healthy and collaborative culture that reflects our company and engineering values, and attracts and retains a diverse team.
• Coach and mentor team members, creating a structured environment and feedback loop that supports career development and high engagement.
