Job Description

The Global Enterprise Testing Team (GETS) team is the liaison between Global Client Testing (GCT) and Visa technology and product teams. As a Staff SW Test Engineer, you will be seen as a thought leader and authority on testing functions, playing a pivotal role in delivering world-class testing services that drive Visa's success. You will work closely with functional and development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and document system issues, ensuring the quality and reliability of Visa's products and services. You will also contribute to the improvement and innovation of the testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage 3 to 4 innovative projects collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at multiple levels.,
  • Deliver and define testing requirements, scope, and timelines for testing Visa’s payment systems ensuring clients deliver reliable products to market.
  • Develop and deliver training for assigned projects to a global team of test analysts.
  • Actively look for opportunities to enhance current best practices, standards, and improve efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with technology and business teams as needed.
  • Support testing innovation and transformation initiatives, leveraging new technologies, methodologies, and tools.
  • Provide SME level knowledge for regional testing teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior test engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in payment system testing or related field, with exposure to various testing methodologies and tools.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in testing web-based applications, APIs, databases, and batch processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment network and processing services.
  • Strong knowledge of Visa configuration systems and Visa Messaging formats preferred.
  • Proficient using standard MS Office tools.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 106,700.00 to 154,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
