Job Description

Are you passionate about being part of a team that is conceptualizing, nurturing, developing, and proving new ideas and engineering them into new solutions? Would you like to help create the next major innovation in and around the payment landscape?

We are looking for a seasoned Test Engineer to enable and oversee game-changing innovation in and around Visa’s partner eco-system for Asia Pacific, and specifically India. You should have very good experience in the test/quality engineering aspects for multi-skilled teams capable of rapid prototyping of new ideas and equally commercial solutions as well. You and the team will work closely with business development teams, partners, and internal product teams and cross-leverage engineering talent internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Be at the heart of developing new ideas into demo-able products, and ultimately to commercial product along with the development teams

• Work alongside and collaborate with UX, development, and other partner teams to deliver products, features, services, and tools

• Drive rapid prototyping/feature development cycles from technical requirements, software designs, test plans, test execution, debugging, and optimization

• Translate detailed user stories for complex features and product sets to appropriate test plans

• Understand User Experience, design thinking and its importance to product features

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand ups, product demos, test phases, retrospectives to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery

• Work very closely with development teams to ensure technical specifications and final product meet business requirements

• Define the quality/automation test frameworks and guidelines to be used by the broader team

• Publish release test results/notes to stakeholders

• Review user guides, user training materials as appropriate

• Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Provide feedback into core product teams to influence their roadmap and strategy

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of overall industry experience around test/quality engineering aspects of the projects

• MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent

• Core technical hands-on skills w.r.t test/quality engineering, ideally in multiple technology stacks for web development, APIs and Mobile application development on diverse platforms

• Good knowledge of relevant automation test frameworks for layers across the stack – Mobile, Front-end (web), Back-end (services)

• Good knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and other engineering best practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated and drive for excellence

• Financial services and/or payments processing industry experience is a plus

• Fluent in discussions about API design, SDKs, and developer tools

• 4+ years of relevant experience would be an added advantage.

• Working knowledge of frameworks like Cucumber, Karate etc. would be a plus
