Job Description

Visa’s Corporate IT (CIT) organization is adding a ServiceNow Developer role in Bangalore to its People Technology team, focused on People Technology solutions.

We have a passion for architecting, designing, building, and connecting software solutions for Visa. Our portfolio includes SaaS and hosted packaged applications such as Workday, ServiceNow, ADP, SmartRecruiters, and some homegrown solutions. We are looking for a Certified Application Developer with experience in HRSD to help People Technology deliver a critical transformation initiative for the rapid adoption of ServiceNow.

Essential Functions:

  • As a ServiceNow Developer, you will partner with strategy, functional, technical, and UX experts to architect, design, and lead ServiceNow HRSD implementations that address the key needs of HR organizations and their workforces.
  • Participate in the Design, Development, and Implementation of the HR Service Delivery module including, Case and Knowledge management, Employee Service Portal, Employee Document Management, Virtual Agent, Machine Learning, HR Workspace, and AI search.
  • Supporting the iterative configuration of the HRSD application, engage partners to conduct reviews through joint design sessions.
  • Configure and enhance the core application, including, but not limited to, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incidents, Knowledge Base, Bugs in Custom Apps, Integrations, and Reporting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years ServiceNow advanced portal development, HRSD Module (Life Cycle Events, Case and Knowledge management) experience REQUIRED.
  • Demonstrated ability in software development using a modern programming language such as C#, Go, Rust, JavaScript, Python and/or Java.
  • 3+ years of experience working in scoped app development, developing service portals, widget creation, configuring and customizing HR life cycle events, crafting custom reports.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer / System Administrator strongly preferred.
  • Understanding the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions, including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, and FTPS.
  • Understanding of Agile project management, SDLC, ITIL, risk management, quality engineering.
  • Experience with the Microsoft .Net core, C# coding and the Visual Studio IDE and TFS a plus!
  • Demonstrable experience in eliciting and elaborating business requirements, drafting system design specifications, and developing technical solutions.
  • Strong follow-through, ability to aim to closure and resolution of complex system issues. Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and customer facing skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global partners, both technical and business users. Active listener, relationship builder, great teammate.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in C#, .NET with Visual Studio, TFS, HTML and JavaScript, SFTP and encryption strongly preferred Understanding of object-oriented programming preferred.
  • Solid understanding of web services, APIs, XML, and prior experience using tools like SOAPUI and Postman.
