The role
We’re hiring a frontend engineer who has empathy for our customers and enjoys contributing to the product development process. This engineer will work with product leads, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features that support our customers.
This role is remote. You can live anywhere, but you must work in US or EMEA time zones.
Requirements
We're looking for a candidate who is:
- Experienced writing code that is maintainable and scalable
- Able to work with Designers and Product Managers to minimize technical risk in planned work
- Interested in mentoring and teaching other engineers formally and informally
- Able to communicate clearly and simply; willingness to document your work and processes
- Comfortable using remote collaboration tools like Slack to share progress and feedback
We’re especially excited if you also have:
- Experience working with Elm (or with other pure-functional languages)
- Experience collaborating with designers
- Personal side projects you’d be willing to share with us
Technologies
Our web application consists of the following:
- A client-side single-page Elm application
- A GraphQL API served by AWS Lambda
- A TypeScript backend
- A PostgreSQL database
