Senior Sales Engineer Manager - Germany

VAST Data is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer Manager for our operations in DACH Region . In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of sales engineers to drive technical sales initiatives, engage with customers to understand their needs, and provide innovative solutions leveraging our cutting-edge data storage technology. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, collaborating closely with sales teams, and ensuring the successful implementation of our products. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and success of VAST Data in the German market.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of sales engineers, providing guidance and support in technical sales processes.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for driving revenue growth in the German market.
• Engage with clients to understand their data storage needs and articulate the value of VAST Data's solutions.
• Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
• Work closely with product management and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and requirements.
• Manage complex technical sales cycles, ensuring timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, acting as a technical advisor and resource.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and driving sales initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data storage technologies and solutions.
• Positive energy, optimism and vision.
• Ability to perform in an unstructured environment.
• Understanding of classic unstructured data applications and next-generation analytics and web frameworks.
• Preparation and/or delivery of technical product and architecture presentations to customers and trainees.
• Knowledge of virtualization, high-performance networking and enterprise security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in German and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
