Reliability Engineer

Elavon (Elavon is a part of the U.S. Bank family) is seeking the position of Reliability Engineer in Atlanta, GA.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

The Reliability Engineer supports production applications and proactively looks for ways to automate discoveries, eliminate incidents from recurring and/or reduce the time it takes to get customers back up and running. 

Specific duties include: (1) improve availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and effective proactive monitoring for our applications; (2) interface with business users, development teams, and system administrators to ensure systems perform to meet their business needs and specifications; (3) develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle; (4) measure and analyze the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production; (5) recommend designs or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability; (6) complete risk analysis studies of new designs and processes; (7) perform infrastructure core level maintenance with various Cloud technologies and set up their performance metrics and alerts; (8) perform Maintenance and Vulnerability Management of hybrid infrastructure including creation of systems design, feasibility and cost studies and recommended cost-effective cloud solutions; (9) coding, testing and successfully deploying in production systems using the SDLC process; and (10) perform analysis and identify permanent fixes for existing defects in the production system. Basic Qualifications:  

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience. 

Required Skills/Experience: 

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) performing infrastructure core level maintenance with various Cloud technologies and set up their performance metrics and alerts; (2) performing Maintenance and Vulnerability Management of hybrid infrastructure including creation of systems design, feasibility and cost studies and recommended cost-effective cloud solutions; (3) coding, testing and successfully deploying in production systems using the SDLC process; (4) performing analysis and identifying permanent fixes for existing defects in the production system; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Java, C, C++, Python, Bash Scripts, Groovy, MySQL, Oracle, Postgresql, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Apache Tomcat, Spring Boot, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Grafana, datadog, Logstash, kafka, rabbitMQ, and ServiceNow. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. 

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $142,002 - $ 159,400.
