Position Summary
Reporting into our Lead Software Engineer, based in Vancouver, the Senior Software Engineer will be a key contributor to our Document Verification Engineering team. Trulioo’s Document Verification team is responsible for an exciting high growth area within the business. Trulioo utilizes the best available tools, instruments, and practices to create a world class platform and we are looking for the talent that will help us stay on the cutting edge of technology. This position is a mix of front-end and some back-end development with emphasis on front-end.
What you’ll be doing
- Applying cutting edge technologies to create the next generation of Document Verification.
- Collaborating with team members, including QA Team, Design Team and Product Managers, to craft customer-focused solutions and forward-looking product strategy.
- Driving a team of high-performance software engineers to architect, design and deliver new products and user experiences.
- Provide technical input into product road maps, negotiating compromises between business and technical constraints.
- Identify systemic weaknesses and propose solutions.
- Identify and assist in mitigating technical and other project risks.
- Mentoring team members and participating in code reviews.
You have
- 4+ years of professional programming experience in building web applications for all modern browsers, including mobile.
- Proficient in one or more modern programming languages: Javascript, Kotlin, Java.
- Have a vast experience with React, Typescript, Jest, Postman.
- Firm understanding of REST or gRPC APIs.
- Ability to debug, profile, and design for best application performance and responsiveness.
- Work closely with senior and lead developers to design and integrate solutions with attention to detail.
- Meeting deadlines while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress.
- Being self-driven and ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply research effectively.
- Drive best coding practices within the team to create reusable application components that are easy to maintain, troubleshoot, and test.
- Working with Machine Learning models, gRPC, AWS stack or having knowledge of testing standards and automation testing tools is a plus.
