Senior QA Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead QA Engineer who can help us design the whole testing infrastructure in TrueLayer, bringing in knowledge, experience with testing tools and good practices. You’ll be at the heart of financial innovation, using industry-disrupting technologies like open banking to revolutionise online payments and enable financial data to be integrated into any app or website.

What we expect from you, as a Senior Quality Engineer:

• Experience in supporting multiple cross functional teams in driving their quality goals
• Proven track record in mentoring technical and non-technical team members, reviewing processes, and influencing stakeholders to constantly raise the quality of products
• Experience building tests frameworks from scratch for .NET, Java, Rust or Go environments
• Thorough understanding of test pyramid and test automation methodologies BDD/TDD, unit testing and integration testing
• Experience in writing elegant and maintainable code in C#, Typescript or Javascript
• In depth knowledge of API design and testing tools like Postman, Newman, Swagger Inspector, OpenAPI
• Experience implementing automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL data technologies

We’d be particularly excited if you have:

• Understanding of UI testing using tools like Cypress
• Experience extending test libraries like Chai
• Previous experience in mobile application test automation using platforms like BrowserStack

Our hiring process typically consists of four stages:

1. A call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners
2. A take-home exercise 
3. 1-hour video interview with an Engineering Manager and Lead QA Engineer
4. 90- minute total final round video interview
