About the Role

Trimble is expanding in Mexico by setting up a world-class software research & development center to accelerate the delivery of products and services worldwide. Become one of the pioneers that helps set the bar of excellence and culture that will shape our future.

We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer, in this role you will be responsible for designing, coding, documenting, and testing our integration platform and related applications. The integration platform services mid-range to large-scale construction contractors throughout the United States and provides the tools to build and deploy powerful integrations and workflows to connect the various systems used to run a construction business.

What You Will Do

• Work effectively as a backend developer on Python and C# .NET web applications hosted on AWS infrastructure, with an emphasis on the back-end services.

• Performs product design, bug verification, release testing, and beta support on application software projects.

• Tracks the status of assigned project tasks to ensure timely completion, maintains communication with stakeholders regarding progress of work, and notifies appropriate parties when open issues have been resolved.

• Participates with an Agile Development team in all stages of product development.

• Identifies opportunities for improving software development methods and procedures and communicates recommendations appropriately.

• Contributes to the overall success of the Agile team by participating in team estimating meetings, designs, code reviews and pair programming activities.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

• BS degree in a field directly related to software development OR equivalent combination of education 

• 3 years of technical experience in application design and programming

• Ability to code in a modern language (mainly Python and C#) using object-oriented and functional techniques appropriately.

• Understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.

• Experience utilizing unit testing and mocking frameworks such as xUnit, MSTest, Fluent Assertions, and/or similar tools.

• Experience with REST Web APIs and JSON.

• Experience with containerized applications and infrastructure as code.

This position will be based in Mexicali, Mexico facility. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
