What You'll be Doing:

This on-site Sr Quality Engineer, based in Danderyd, Sweden, is responsible for supporting the development and production of high-precision optical instruments.

In this role, you'll play a vital role in helping our team succeed by ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the production process for our precision optics.

You will develop and implement strategic initiatives to meet the highest quality standards across all products and processes, from conception to manufacturing. A critical focus will be analyzing field failures and warranty returns to drive improvements.

  • Implement harmonized and centralized processes and templates to define the company's corporate regulatory, site internal audit, and supplier audit programs. Provide direction for
    process improvement tools to ensure the integration of Quality Compliance systems' process requirements;

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining programs for the ongoing monitoring and improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality System & accountable for the creation, deployment, and maintenance of the internal audit schedule, as well as status updates and reporting on resource or schedule adherence;

  • Develop and maintain a Certification/Qualification program for internal auditors. Provide leadership and coaching to the audit team for implementing regulatory, quality, and quality system effectiveness audits of Trimble facilities and suppliers;

  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations;

  • Strong process orientation focuses on standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement;

  • Develop, schedule, and implement plans for comprehensive annual audits, considering quality metrics, site internal audits and external inspection results, industry trends, and the external regulatory environment;

  • Support to the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process. He/she will collaborate with representatives from other functional areas to facilitate timely and effective Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations, action plan implementation, and effectiveness monitoring;

  • Work on complex investigations and coordinate technical teams to ensure sound experimental design, effective data analysis, identification, implementation, verification, and validation of CAPA actions;

  • Work with the Compliance team and cross-functional teams to ensure that Trimble's parts and products sourced and manufactured comply with global environmental regulations and customer
    requirements;

  • Improve product quality and reliability by analyzing field failures, identifying underlying problems, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences;

  • Minimize customer disruptions and warranty costs by addressing field failures promptly and effectively to increase customer satisfaction and minimize warranty claims;

  • Proficiency in using relevant software for quality management, data analysis, and reporting;

  • Participate in warranty cost reduction program and effectively drive continuous improvement by adhering to
    manufacturing quality plans.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Math, Science, Engineering or Information
    Technology) is required; a degree in Engineering is preferred;

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience is required; Specific experience in corrective and preventive action efforts is required;

  • Hands-on experience in the Quality Assurance and Assessment in a production area;

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000, and ISO 14000, is required;

  • Knowledge of CAPA system applications is
    required;

  • A demonstrated proficiency in process improvement methodology and use of investigative tools (Cause and Effect Diagrams, Trend Analysis, Capability Analysis, Control Charts, Pareto Charting, etc.);

  • This position requires the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple activities and responsibilities. Hands on experience with Risk Assessment (especially Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, DFMEA, and PFMEA), Reliability Engineering and/or Product/Process Validation are preferred;

  • Ability to travel approximately 5 - 20% of time.
