What You Will Do

As a Product Support Analyst Intern, you will respond to customer inquiries and provide product support such as operations support, installation of new systems, virtual or on-site customer training, general problem solving, product trial/development support, and sales demonstrations.

This role is a 12-month placement and candidates must be willing to work full-time for the entire 12-month duration in a hybrid schedule out of our Richmond, Hill, Ontario, Canada office.

Additionally, you will:

- Collaborate with internal departments, such as the sales, product management, and engineering departments on applications, product performance, complex customization, reporting product defects, and enhancement requests.

- Participate occasionally in product technical reviews, impact assessments of new releases, and take the lead in ad hoc internal projects.

- Prepare documentation regarding modifications, troubleshooting procedures, problem resolutions, and general workflows.

- Contribute to maintaining a quality customer database and moderating our customer-facing resources.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

In addition to normal professional core competencies such as strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, the ability to manage stressful situations,  prioritize multiple tasks, working both independently and in a team environment, you will also be:

- Pursuing a university degree in Geomatics, Geodesy, Surveying, Photogrammetry, Navigation, or a degree in Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering.

- Knowledgeable and experience in Mobile Mapping, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and GNSS/IMU technology is required; a background in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics may be considered in lieu of Geospatial knowledge/experience.

- Skilled in customer service and the ability to describe complex technical facts understandably.

- Proficient with computers and moderate troubleshooting skills in Windows OS are required.

This position is located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, and is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to live in the local area or be willing to relocate.

This requisition request is for a replacement intern. The funding for the current intern will be used for this role. This year, we lost the Supervisor on the Customer Support team to another role. And we will be losing the current intern we have at the end of May. Because of the hiring conditions and finances within our department, we will likely not be able to hire a full-time replacement easily. For that reason, we would like to hire an intern for 2024 - 2025.
