Trimble Transportation - Transporeon is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager for its office in Chennai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing production-grade Microservices that will be used by multiple Transporeon product lines, managing the full-stack development team, and collaborating with DevOps, architects, and product groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of applications using .NET Core API and ReactJS.

  • Architect, design, and code high-quality, scalable solutions.

  • Design reviews and code reviews to achieve high-quality code delivery

  • Understanding business requirements and translating them to engineering tasks for the team

  • Build and Manage a team of junior and senior UI and API developers.

  • Break down feature requirements into actionable engineering tasks and ensure feature delivery in quick turnaround time.

  • Self-motivated and demonstrate initiative in tackling work, while following software development best practices and organization guidelines

  • Proven ability to use influence to achieve team goals and objectives.

  • Leadership qualities that enable the ability to work well with diverse groups of people and motivate others to achieve objectives.

  • Work closely with Architecture/Engineering//Product managers, and experienced software developers to implement highly scalable Microservices and web applications. 

  • Ability to work in a high-paced agile atmosphere. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and logically, and present developed features to the product and leadership teams.

  • Drive innovation and foster a culture of high performance and integrity.

  • Provide mentorship, support team growth, and ensure alignment with business goals.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in .NET Core API development and HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, ReactJS, and other JavaScript libraries.

  • Must be proficient with OOPS, Design Patterns, NoSQL/RDMS Database systems, Kafka/Message brokers

  • Ability to develop RESTful APIs using .NET core following SOLID principles

  • Proficient in Azure services, Docker, and containers.

  • Experience with the Single-SPA framework.

  • Strong understanding of GitHub for continuous integration.

  • Hands-on experience with PaaS services on Azure/ AWS

  • Demonstrated debugging and troubleshooting skills in a highly transactional networked environment.

  • Proficient working knowledge of database systems is required

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostMan.

  • Experience using bug-tracking tools like JIRA

  • Experience with source control systems, like GitHub

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams of developers.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple stakeholders and work in a global environment.

  • Passion for innovation and commitment to high integrity values.

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years of web development experience

  • Comp Science degree or related experience/education
