The Associate DevOps Engineer at the Professional 1 level is a foundational role within our Cloud Engineering team, aimed at individuals embarking on their professional journey in DevOps. This role is designed for those with a conceptual understanding of DevOps theories, practices, and procedures, and who are eager to apply this knowledge in a practical, dynamic environment. The Associate DevOps Engineer will contribute to the team's efforts in optimizing our development and operational processes, under the guidance and mentorship of more experienced team members.
Responsibilities will include
Help maintain and enhance tools used for deployment, monitoring, and operations of our software products.
Implement quality control measures to ensure that new processes meet established standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Work as part of cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
Embrace a culture of automation, seeking opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and improve productivity.
Focus on continuous learning and skill development to keep up with the latest technologies and best practices in development and operations engineering.
Work collaboratively with various departments and teams to gather input, share insights, and build consensus for operational changes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Should-Haves - Skills & Experience
Good understanding of software development concepts and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).
Knowledge on Terraform or Python
Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and command-line interfaces.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, BitBucket).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with modern monitoring tools
Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Github actions.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve routine technical issues.
Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a
team-oriented environment.
