Trifecta Nutrition is the largest organic meal delivery service in the US, based in Sacramento, California. We provide a variety of fully cooked meal options for customers to choose from that match their ideal dietary and lifestyle goals from paleo, keto, vegan, and clean eating. We ship weekly, nationwide for free.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will take a key role on our team. Our Senior Software Engineer will be full-stack and must have knowledge in all stages of software development. They’ll be working alongside other Software Engineers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our web platform.

Responsibilities 

• Contributes to the overall architecture of the web platform
• Ability to deliver end-to-end features of increasing complexity (systems thinking)
• Collaborates with the rest of the Engineering team to design and launch new features
• Mentors junior engineers via paired programming,  design reviews, and code reviews.
• Focuses on the overall product quality and user experience for our site visitors
• Takes initiative and is responsible for technical solutions to data quality and workflow changes
• Holds a solid understanding  of security implementation  and data protection
• Maintains quality and responsiveness of applications
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering
• Develops next generation technology while bringing fresh ideas to the organization
• Partners with Product department to drive requirements for projects

Requirements

• Deep experience with our tech stack and requires no direction: CSS, Javascript, React, Python, LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Ideally, 8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer and is versatile to take on new projects across the full-stack
• Track record and passion for mentoring fellow team members
• Software Engineering  experience working on a B2C eCommerce platform
• Experience within the Amazon AWS Ecosystem (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc)
• Familiarity with software provisioning, configuration management, and deployment tools like Ansible
• Knowledge of code versioning tools: Git, Github
• Experience partnering with a Product department to drive requirements for Engineering and Product needs
• Experience with WooCommerce plugin for Wordpress is a nice to have
• Excellent communication, written and verbal
