Transunion Marketing Solutions is looking for talented analysts with excellent quantitative and analytical skills. In this role, you’ll work with cross-functional teams as a lead data scientist on multi-million dollar customer engagements. You’ll build your network with the top marketing leadership in major companies across virtually all industries. You’ll work with quantitative marketing data to analyze and reveal the business drivers of the Fortune 500. You will develop expertise at the intersection of big data, marketing, and consulting. What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in marketing mix models (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA) models, experimentation, multivariate regression, time-series modeling, Bayesian statistics, segmentation modeling, machine learning, data mining, simulation, optimization, and/or forecasting
  • Technical or programming skills to handle big data, online search, online advertising attribution and online/offline marketing optimization problems
  • Experience with SQL, R, Python, Spark, Matlab or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematical or engineering background: Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Econometrics, Finance, Engineering or similar
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences from other technical disciplines in both written and verbal skills
  • Ability to mentor junior data scientists and offshore associates
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a large cross-functional team
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

We’d Love to See:

  • 4+ years of quantitative analytics experience with marketing metrics and tracking, marketing analytics, and attribution modeling
  • 3+ years of work in Digital Analytics with hands-on experience in Adserver/Web Analytics Logs
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring junior data scientists

Impact You'll Make:

  • You’ll help clients know everything they can about their customers and prospects, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and know if their marketing worked and how to make it better.
  • You’ll help diagnose business needs, translate into questions that Transunion will answer, and architect data models to implement our solutions.
  • You’ll work closely with other data scientists, consultants, and external clients to identify new insights, translate findings into the stakeholder’s native language and tell stories to make complex things simple to understand.
  • Implement multi-touch attribution models (MTA), marketing-mix models (MMM), and experimentation studies to address marketing effectiveness, return on investment (ROI), brand equity impact, segmentation, pricing, and environmental factors
    • Design the unified model structure, variable entities, and variable transformations
    • In our TransUnion proprietary analytics platform build multi-touch attribution models (MTA) and marketing mix models (MMM) that are based on statistics, econometrics, and/or machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, choice model, time-series model, panel data model, Bayesian statistics, ridge regression, structural equations, probability theory, clustering algorithms, etc.
    • Analyze big data sets to generate deep insights on paid media, organic media, market conditions, web navigations, and individuals’ propensities on multi-step conversion activities in the consumer journeys
    • Validate model results and package them into insightful client-friendly reports on ROI analysis, forecasting, simulation and optimization
    • Ensure rigorous quality control and detect anomalies in the model with ongoing new data stream
    • Oversee all analytics work stream and mentor onshore/offshore data scientists
  • Participate in client meetings and lead analytics discussions
    • Collaborate with external client teams to ensure alignment on modeling methodologies, model validation metrics, actionable insights, and analytical/technical best practices, and help to enhance our analytic solutions for client needs
  • Cross-functional leadership and best practices
    • Interact with multiple functional teams across the firm to provide and improve our end-to-end solution and implement new analytics capabilities: Data Operations, Solution Architects, Consulting Services, Product and Engineering
    • Drive and define cross-functional best practices ensuring quality delivery and instituting processes to improve efficiency of our analytic solutions
  • Data Science leadership
    • Develop next gen marketing analytics for unified consumer-centric solutions that incorporate new data assets such as individuals identity data, cross-devices, addressable TV, segmentation, targeting, and test results
    • Mentor junior data scientists while coordinating with data science leadership to align against broader business objectives and team development

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The salary range for this position is $95,105.00 - $156,000.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
