Responsibilities
- Ensure production reliability, availability, and performance of large-scale distributed systems by driving Capacity Planning, Configuration, Tools Automation, and Disaster Tolerance Readiness for the company’s multiple distributed systems.
- Guide the SRE team in improving the whole lifecycle of infrastructure services from inception and design, throughout development, capacity planning and launch reviews, to deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Design and implement software platforms and monitor frameworks for efficient, automated, and intelligent service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance.
- Implement reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructures and maintain them by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall health of the system.
- Develop docker containers for multiple services and deploy, manage, and monitor them in Kubernetes cluster.
- Developing CI/CD tools in Python and write automation Bash Shell scripts.
- Debug and troubleshoot, including identifying root causes and developing new debugging tools.
- Maintain services to meet service-level-agreements (SLAs) or service-level-objectives (SLOs) by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, and overall system health.
- Scale systems sustainability through mechanisms such as automation, evolve systems reliability, efficiency, and velocity by pushing for changes.
- Practice sustainable incident response and postmortems.
- Provide technical directions and mentorship to other engineers in the team.Qualifications
Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience, out of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Managing Hadoop Distributed File Systems for reliability and operability;
- Operating and performing tuning of HBase clusters;
- Designing and implementing complex distributed systems using Python;
- Designing and operating High Availability infrastructure using MySQL;
- Operating Large-scale Distributed Key-Value Store installations; and
- Garbage Collection and Performance Tuning for JVM-based applications.

Travel Requirement: Domestic travel up to 15% required.
