We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

About the team
Our mission is to build a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The AI Data Service and Eco Operations (ADSEO) team is responsible for the operation of security model training, and iteration under TikTok and other international products, to ensure product security and create a good atmosphere for content creation and community interaction. You will have the opportunity to join the fast-growing space of AI and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products. The AI Data Project Management Operation Intern will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality labeling to enhance AI model accuracy. You will be required to align with labeling standards and guidelines of language features with relevant stakeholders and drive continuous enhancement.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to an internship of 3 months between May to 31 December 2024.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily transcribing, translation and proofreading tasks for one or multiple projects in your working language.
- Conduct thorough data analysis, feedback problems, handle appeals, and provide feedback on labeling quality.
- Provide feedback and analysis on guideline updates to identify areas of improvement and potential gaps.
- Work closely with Project Point-of-Contact (POC) to ensure the labeling quality is up to standard.
- Work with the Engineering team to align and enhance the labeling guidelines based on the language feature.
- Participate in the development of quality inspection standards and continuously optimize the process and system platform.
- Work with a number of different cross-functional teams.
- Any other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential (candidate will be handling English to Mandarin transcribing/translation work)
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate currently pursuing a Degree/Master/PhD in Translation, Interpretation, Communications, Linguistics or a related technical discipline.
- Attention to detail and comfort using data analysis to identify trends are required.
- Must possess strong learning abilities, as well as cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to work under minimal supervision with strong logical reasoning and common sense related to the nature of the job.
- Ability to work in a high-tempo environment, adapt to, and respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Familiarity with office software such as Excel and Word is required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expected to work at least three days per week during the school term; four to five days per week is highly preferred.
- Experience in the Translation/Interpretation field (e.g., having taken related courses or completed an internship) is highly preferred.
- Working experience in the AI Annotation industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in data processing and other data analysis capabilities is preferred.
- Resilience and commitment to self-care are crucial to managing the emotional demands of the role.
