Responsibilities
- Build an intelligent dialogue system, including mining questions and answers based on user intent for the TikTok Shop Platform Customer Service.
- Work on the automatic evaluation pipeline of Generative large language modules (LLMs) for Intent Classification, Text Matching, and Answer Generation.
- Develop multilingual text generation such as products' copy, dialogue summary, email reply, etc.
- Work on knowledge graph construction, including product/content/feedback understanding and category/brand/SPU construction.
- Work on language understanding, including intention recognition, emotion recognition, FAQ, etc.
- Construct knowledge graphs of buyers and products.
- Create a data repository tool to manage large scale datasets using the Hugging Face Datasets Library.
- Fine-tune GPT-like decoder only models for intent recognition, query matching, and answer generation.
- Mentor junior level Machine Learning Engineers and interns.Qualifications
Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Identifying metrics and designing experiments to evaluate the performance of input recommender, article answers, article recommendation, and app event optimization by applying the following: (1) Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1 Score, (2) hypothesis testing, (3) A/B testing, and (4) CPC, CPM, CVR, CTR, and eCPM;
- Prototyping, building, and optimizing ML models DNN, BERT, BM25, and TF-IDF to improve the performance of the following ML products: Input recommender, article answers, article recommendation, and app event optimization;
- Optimizing, training, and deploying machine learning and deep learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow;
- Researching, testing, and productionizing state-of-the-art deep learning models and methods;
- Conducting data analysis to improve the performance of the following ML products: Input recommender, article answers, article recommendation, and app event optimization; and
- Coding using Python or C++.
