About Your Role
As an Application & Product Security Engineer, you will ensure that all products and services offered by Tigera are secure and compliant, partnering with other members of the Engineering team and security organization to constantly raise the security bar for Tigera’s products and solutions.
You Will
- Collaborate with engineering to address security risks and provide mitigation recommendations within the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Maintain and expand Tigera’s vulnerability management program, collaborating with engineers to mitigate security vulnerabilities identified by our security tools, as well as external reported vulnerabilities through our bug bounty program.
- Influence the design and development practices at Tigera engineering, and educate peers on best security practices.
- Perform security architecture and design reviews of all systems and applications developed at Tigera.
- Perform validation of security controls to ensure consistency with compliance and industry standard methodologies.
- Perform hands-on security testing to proactively discover risks and supervise them to resolution.
You Have
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in product security, application security, cloud security, or information security.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and with development teams, as well as multi-task effectively.
- An understanding of enterprise class applications and cloud architectures that are highly scalable and reliable, and the ability to secure them.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience evaluating vulnerabilities and responding to incidents.
- Experience designing and assessing security features.
- Experience with securing host, database, and application solutions in microservices or cloud architecture.
- Experience with penetration testing and/or red- or blue-teaming web applications.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
