Product Research Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

ThreatLocker’s Product Research Engineer role is a fantastic role to start your cybersecurity career. Our Product Research Engineers are responsible for, but not limited to:  

• Collect and Analyze data on Companies of all subjects to identify where companies are headquartered, where code has been compiled, as well as identify where the company originated from, all while using reliable resources for information.
• Identify potential areas of concern and have the ability to determine if needed for business.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools to insert data accurately following a specific format given by the leadership.
• Research previous exploits, vulnerabilities, and specific malware / ransomware and write a brief summary.
• Insert and Maintain the Database that includes all information previously collected from other Research Engineers.
• Validate and Audit research findings performed by peers.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL ROLE. If you're computer savvy, interested in cybersecurity and are willing to learn this role is for you!  

• Basic knowledge and experience with computer programming and operating systems 
• Excellent verbal and written communication 
• Cybersecurity certificates (CompTIA, Security+ , Network +), preferred 
• Knowledge and experience in macOS 12.x and higher; preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux; preferred 
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel, preferred

• Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to visit company offices and/or property locations.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
