The Role:

We are seeking a high caliber individual for the Front-end Tech Lead role to join our rapidly growing global workforce in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Front-end Tech Lead will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of front-end software engineers as well as working together with program managers, software developers, quality assurance and user experience experts on the different aspects of the software development cycle. In this position, the key focus will lie on leveraging new technologies to enhance existing architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of front-end software engineers, while keeping a constant pulse across departments to ensure the success of the team projects and goals
  • Work closely with product and business leaders to determine organization roadmap and build deliverables in accordance with timelines
  • Iterate with our UX, Product, Infrastructure, and Marketing teams in an agile environment to bring features from conception to launch
  • Manage engineer performance - leveraging strengths and eliminating weaknesses
  • Play a key role in the talent management employee cycle
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements
  • Research and contribute towards the selection and integration of the best technologies for our portfolio
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, reusable, and reliable code
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components
  • Identify bottlenecks and devise permanent solutions
  • Actively troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation of the developed modules/applications

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in web applications development preferably within the Financial Services and/or FinTech industry
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, Redux, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience in building complex SPA applications
  • Good understanding of design patterns and software architecture principles
  • Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of Linux commands and scripts
  • Must be dynamic, self-motivated individual striving to learn, with a getting-things-done mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and multicultural environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask between multiple tasks
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Excellent command of the English language
