DevOps Engineer

Role:

• Manage cloud-based infrastructure, primarily on AWS, with optional experience in Heroku being advantageous.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various software applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline software development and deployment processes.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Manage and oversee security compliances, including SOC2, ensuring that infrastructure and processes meet or exceed required standards.
• Monitor and report on system performance, health, and security status.
• Establish and maintain observability across all systems to ensure proactive monitoring of application health and real-time troubleshooting.
• Contribute to IT operations tasks, assisting with the maintenance and optimization of internal IT systems.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies, implementing them to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services; familiarity with Heroku is a plus.
• Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SOC2 compliance management is highly desirable.
• Experience with setting up and managing observability in a cloud environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Certifications in AWS or other relevant technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Practical experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
