Staff Software Engineer

Climate LLC seeks a Staff Software Engineer. This is a hybrid work-from-home position that requires the employee to be able to work in our Creve Coeur MO, office two (2) days per week. Will be responsible for collaborating with Engineers, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and User Experience experts to craft solutions for our customers. Will also: (i) provide guidance on solution architecture, partnering with all engineering teams involved; (ii) provide technical designs and assessment of solutions for implementing new features to satisfy customer needs; (iii) participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers; (iv) lead initiatives to accomplish organization objectives on technical excellence working across departments; (v) produce high quality code with an emphasis on software craftsmanship; and (vi) champion continuous improvement and ensure codebase is continuously deliverable and deployable.

This is a hybrid work-from-home position that requires the employee to be able to work in our Creve Coeur office two (2) days per week.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus six (6) years of progressively responsible and post-baccalaureate experience in a related position.

Experience must include four (4) years of experience with: (i) designing cloud-based applications; (ii) single page web application development using modern JavaScript frameworks like React), Vue and Angular; (iii) micro-service design and development; (iv) cloud-based continuous delivery and environment management - DevSecvOps, CI/CD practices and tools; (v) software development methodologies and best practices; (vi) application security practices and tools; (vii) processing and analyzing large data sets; and (viii) database development with tools such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.

Experience can be concurrent.
