Texas A&M University's Technology Services is actively seeking an Entry-Level Software Applications Developer I to join our dynamic team in College Station, Texas! Here's your chance to kickstart your career in backend development while supporting Scholarships and Financial Aid operations. 

 

As an integral member of our team, you'll dive into the world of routine backend development tasks, troubleshooting, and crafting customized scripts and reports using PL/SQL and SQL. Collaborating with a supportive team, you'll tackle technical challenges head-on, provide top-notch customer service, and turn client needs into innovative solutions.  

 

We're searching for candidates with a passion for technology and a solid foundation in SQL and PL/SQL. While experience with Ellucian Banner software is a bonus, it's not requiredwe're eager to nurture talent and help you thrive in your new role. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:  

  • Review, modify, and/or write code  

  • Resolve technical problems  

  • Consult with Scholarships and Financial Aid staff to define application requirements 

  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities 

 

Salary Range: $46,762.59 - $54,704.00 

 

This position is expected to be onsite in College Station, Texas. 

 

Qualifications        

  • A bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience AND four months (1 semester) of student worker or customer service experience.   

  • A well-qualified candidate would also possess more than 2 years of software development experience at an institution of higher education, professional experience in a role providing software development support to a Scholarships and Financial Aid office or closely related area, professional experience working with Broadcom Automation (UC4, AppWorx, Automic) or other scheduling applications, proficiency in PL/SQL, knowledge of Ellucian Banner software, knowledge of Student Financial Aid and excellent customer service skills.
