The pay range is $111,200.00 - $200,200.00

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated engineer to develop new and innovative solutions for our Case Management suite that supports Target’s Incident Response teams. You will be pushing the boundaries of incident response as you work closely with security analysts to better protect Target.

About You

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience

• 7+ years' of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation

• Strong problem solving and thought partnership skills

• Demonstrated sense of ownership and the ability to navigate ambiguity

• Familiarity with cloud native development: Docker, Kubernetes, Container Orchestration

• Expertise in Typescript, asynchronous programming, NodeJS

• Expertise building RESTful API Endpoints w/ frameworks such as NodeJS, express.js

• Experience with SQL and Relational database technologies: Postgres, MySQL

• Experience in on-call rotations and issue triaging/resolution

• Experience with DevSecOps practices (git, CI/CD, multi-environment setup, etc.)

• Solid understanding of systems architecture/systems design principles, data modelling, tradeoffs etc.

• Demonstrates ability to work independently or on small, fast-moving teams

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team

Additional skills we are interested in: 

• Expertise in Typescript, SQL, Vue

• Familiarity/comfort with modern front end design principles like micro front ends

• Familiarity/comfort with UI frameworks: Vue.js, React, Angular

• Knowledgeable about end-to-end CI/CD solutions and technologies: Webhooks, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes

• Expertise in Unix/Linux administration, Docker container orchestration

• Expertise in ElasticSearch, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ

• Expertise in Database administration: Postgres

• Demonstrated understanding of secure coding practices and the impact that not following them can have

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
