This role is perfect for an ambitious DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer who strives to build and run highly scalable cloud applications that support a wide variety of workloads.

An ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider, and has an interest in security practices, infrastructure as code, and automation tooling. Nice-to-haves are experience building reusable Terraform modules and support tools for development teams.

We are looking for someone who will work to design and implement extensible, performant, and cost-efficient applications, and will continue to improve the Google Cloud services that host the majority of our infrastructure.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be an essential part of our digital product team, supporting the growth and the global availability of a product millions of people use every day. You will work with various teams to launch and maintain the APIs and cloud infrastructure that support the core services and functionality offered by Tapcart.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Work with our multi-region Kubernetes clusters to support our global infrastructure and help improve security, latency and workload failover
    • Work with our CICD Pipelines to improve delivery of our applications across multiple regions to serve our customers all over the world
    • Contribute to designing data models and improving efficient queries/writes with our various database technologies (MongoDB, PostgresSQL)
    • Design and implement application infrastructure that scales to 100 millions of users
    • Work with a fantastic team that loves to whiteboard and design for best efficiency and scalability

WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

    • 2 years experience working either as DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer 
    • 1 year Experience working with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) (GCP preferred)
    • Solid experience with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes
    • Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgresSQL) (preferred)
    • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) (required)
    • Experience with Shell scripting, Bash, Python and NodeJS (required)

BONUS IF YOU HAVE

    • Experience selling at a Shopify technology partner company
    • Experience selling e-commerce solutions
    • Experience selling solutions to the Marketing department

Annual compensation range: $135,000- $155,000 USD
