Data Analyst – PMO

What we need 

Symbotic is seeking a Business Reporting Data Analyst, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reporting and data visualization needs. You will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Management teams to understand their requirements, create effective data visualizations, and provide actionable insights. The role requires a combination of technical skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization. 

What we do 

The Data Analyst will support our PMO, which plays a critical role in technical automation projects, ensuring that the project is successfully executed, on time, and within budget. They will serve as support between technical teams, management, and other stakeholders ensuring that the project information is effectively captured and communicated. They create and maintain program reports detailing KPIs for efficient project monitoring and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. 

What you’ll do 

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand data and reporting requirements.  

• Lead initiatives to incorporate reporting requirements into the development of reports.  

• Collect, analyze, and interpret project management data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to develop meaningful reports and dashboards to visualize project performance metrics. 

• Evaluate existing project management systems and tools to assess their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. 

• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current systems and propose enhancements or alternative solutions. 

• Design, develop, and maintain reporting applications and dashboards, while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in applications. 

• Streamline project management processes and workflows to increase productivity and reduce errors. 

• Proactively identify risks and issues affecting project performance and provide timely recommendations for mitigation. 

• Participate in project meetings and discussions to provide data-driven insights and recommendations. 

• Other duties assigned.  

What you’ll need 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence; Statistics, Applied Math, etc.)  required.  

• Minimum of 3 years of business analytics and reporting experience.  

• Proven experience in project management data analysis, system evaluation, and process improvement. 

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. 

• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, SmartSheets, Microsoft Project). 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 

• Effective communication and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Our Environment 

• Up to 5% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

• The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
