About the job  

As Software Architect in the Creative Automation team you will work to keep the Engineering organization focused and steer the teams in the right direction, we are looking for an architect to join the team and work with principal Engineers, Engineering Managers, and the department as a whole to help drive the technology and architecture in the company. We are looking for an engineering leader who can drive the architecture and technical capabilities to the next level, capable of supporting on ongoing growth and strategy 

Key responsibilities: 

• Design and develop Storyteq's software architecture 
• Lead engineering efforts to design product and business logic architecture 
• Be a go-to person and tech decision-maker for software architecture questions 
• Evaluate current state of the product, and launch improvements 
• Helping to solve complex and ambiguous product cases, make decisions on how new features should be implemented 
• Lead best practices development in engineering for the entire organization 
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company architecture and technologies and help your teams develop it further.  

• 8+ years of industry experience (software development / engineering), knowledge of Agile development 
• 5+ years of experience as a senior engineer 
• 3+ years as a principal engineer (or equivalent) in a B2B SaaS Environment 
• Extensive experience with databases data modeling - both RDBMS and NoSQL 
• Great software architecture skills 
• Ability to build strong trusting relationships with engineers, product and leaders 
• Excellent English communication skills 

• Don't shy away from a challenge 
•  Are a team player  

 Nice to have:  

• Have affinity with rendering technologies (like ffmpeg)   
• Experience with DevOps / GCP.
