Our team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who is passionate about creating reliable, scalable, and efficient software to improve our user experience. We're expanding fast with an exciting product roadmap ahead. This role challenges you to solve complex problems related to scaling a popular consumer-facing application in an open, diverse, and inclusive environment.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in building a team of high performing Site Reliability Engineers
• Partner with cross-functional squads in developing the standards of the infrastructure lifecycle
• Work with Automation Engineers in testing failures and recoveries
• Work with DevOps Engineers in developing playbooks for various outage and escalation scenarios
• Introduce a chaos testing mentality and weekly fire drills and gameday exercises
• Standardize and work with Squads to implement SLAs, SLOs and maintain them
• Create a culture of confidence in the system to deploy anytime, anywhere

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
• Extensive experience working with and implementing solutions on cloud computing platforms
• Experience with using container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• A great communicator who is able to collaborate with a lack of ego
• Creative problem solver with a passion for testing, debugging, and quality
• Data-driven decision maker, willing to take risks, fail fast, and iterate quickly
• Must have extensive experience with:

• Experience with asynchronous microservice systems
• Experience with event-based architectures
• Experience working with Terraform
• Experience building the SRE culture of a new system

Salary Range: $135,300-$202,950

The base salary range represents the reasonably anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and competencies, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data for companies of our size and industry.
