Project Manager - Corporate Functions - Engine by Starling

This SaaS technology platform is now available to banks and financial institutions all around the world, enabling them to benefit from the innovative digital features, and efficient back-office processes that has helped achieve Starling's success.

Hybrid Working

We have a Hybrid approach to working here at Engine - our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of one of our offices so that we're able to interact and collaborate in person. You can expect to spend 2 - 3 days a week in an office. 

About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager, reporting to our Chief of Staff, to focus on our internally facing Special Projects, including, but not limited to those within our Corporate Functions. At Engine, we have a lot of moving pieces, and this role is for someone who can work across multiple projects, supporting the planning through to execution. You’ll work closely with people from all teams, and sit centrally within the Chief of Staff’s office.

What you'll get to do:

• Overall co-ordination of a number of internal projects across different areas of the company, which could include policies, procedures and systems.
• Support key deadlined projects such as aspirations for certifications. 
• Collaborate with external vendors and act as a key contact to see new contracts through. 
• Develop status updates and communication packs for internal and external audiences.
• Owning pieces of compliance and assurance work.

• Prior experience in a Project Management position

• Have worked in a Start Up / Fast Paced environment 
• Excellent written and verbal communication with experience of communicating to senior leadership and third parties 
• Experience in Management Consulting or a similar background would be an advantage but not a requirement
• Experience managing projects end-to-end
• The ability to adapt to changing priorities 
• Strong attention to detail
• A ‘hands on’ attitude to project delivery
• The ability to quickly understand a new subject matter, with the confidence to get up to speed with the technical or banking details of a problem
