Software Engineer Backend - Marketplace (Serbia)

Squirro is looking for individuals with exceptional software engineering skills to be part of a fast-moving startup.

About the Role

We are looking for someone to help take us our marketplace offering at start.squirro.com to the next role. As part of this role, you will be helping to improve, maintain & add new functionalities to our marketplace offering

Responsibilities:

• Work within the Engineering group to develop & maintain Squirro's Marketplace offering.
• Follow Software Engineering best practices like automated tests, QA processes, and well-functioning Continuous Integration system.
• Maintenance and development of production ready python code.
• Work with the product team to help define the roadmap for Squirro's Marketplace.

Your skills & experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in Web application development.
• Exceptional programming experience in Python or a similar language with the motivation to move to Python.
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux from a developers perspective.
• Strong track record in software systems design, from initial implementation to performance optimisation and scaling.
• Experience developing professionally as part of a team, giving and receiving code reviews, test-driven development etc.
• Good communication skills with fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Familiarity with RESTful web services and microservices architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, nginx, docker.
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible and other DevOps related tools.
