Senior Software Engineer

Social Finance, LLC seeks Senior Software Engineer in Helena, MT:

Job Duties: Design, develop, code, test, and deploy user-facing resilient and scalable products
and experiences. Work with multiple languages; Java, Kotlin, graphQL, Kafka, React, and
JavaScript to name a few to build performant and scalable backend applications in a cloud-
based microservices architecture; having logical, maintainable, and scalable code. Work with
engineering and product stakeholders in order to build the best financial products and tools;
while participating in design and code reviews, and generating ideas for new initiatives and
technologies. Collaborate with a team of like-minded engineers focused on building industry-
leading software. Owning and ideating technical solutions for product requirements and user
stories with minimal supervision, with the ability to navigate trade-offs using a data-driven
approach, and work on new product initiatives. Mentor other engineers, support the technical
culture, and help grow the team. Working in a fast-moving, highly-collaborative environment
across multiple offices. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science,
Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in job
offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) React; (2) Java; (3) Spring; (4) PostgreSQL; (5) OOP; (6)
Relational Database; and (7) Coding. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or
experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.

Salary: $136,877.24 - $157,408.00 per annum.
