Senior Cloud Software Engineer

We’re hiring talented Senior Cloud Software Engineers that are passionate about using software-based approaches to solve complex challenges related to the cloud infrastructure.  We are responsible for ensuring that Snowflake is reliable and can scale to support our ever-growing global customer base. AS A SENIOR CLOUD SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL:

• Define, design and lead complicated technical projects that are foundational for a wide variety of teams within the company
• Build, deploy, and scale software for reliably managing and monitoring infrastructure 
• Introduce tools to facilitate greater automation and operability of infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotation, utilize your deep experience and problem solving skills to help prevent and investigate production issues
• Work closely with our various teams to ensure those best practices get applied 
• Take a data-first approach that helps define the investments of the world's largest cloud service providers 

OUR IDEAL SENIOR CLOUD SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

• Multiple years of experience in programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, C++. 
• Good knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure or GCP) and distributed database systems (e.g. FoundationDB, Cassandra, MongoDB)
• Experience with cloud IaC toolsets - Terraform / Pulumi, Vault, Packer etc. 
• Experience with time-series based monitoring / observability systems
• Firm grasp of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
• Tremendous attention to details and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multinational team environment
• Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
• Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
• Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

The position may require access to U.S. export-controlled technologies or technical data.

Employment with Snowflake is contingent on Snowflake either verifying that you may legally access U.S. export-controlled technologies and technical data, or successfully obtaining by obtaining, in a timely manner, any necessary license or other authorization from the U.S. Government to allow you to have the ability to access U.S. export-controlled technology and technical data.

 

SALARY

We believe all Snowflake employees have an impact in the long-term success of Snowflake, which is why new hire equity is designed to be a considerable part of your annual compensation. When the price of Snowflake stock rises, we are all rewarded.

At Snowflake, equity is an important part of our total compensation package which is comprised of:

• Base salary 
• Bonus target or sales commission target
• Equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)

The total target monthly compensation range for this job is 40,000 PLN – 80,000 PLN

The final compensation offered will vary based on individual experience, skills, and job-based knowledge.
