As we scale our business globally it is critical that we work closely with our customers to ensure they are able to get the best value possible from our solutions. We are hiring Value Engineers globally to work with our sales organisation to connect the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform to the customers business objectives through value based, industry-centric messaging. These roles are pivotal to Snowflake’s growth and critical to our sales team’s success.
Reporting to the Managing Principal, Value Engineering, you will play a key role in standardizing our value-based solution proposition and integrating this into our selling strategy.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Work with customers to identify and execute value-based activities within the sales cycle to drive customer consumption.
- Become a key part of our customers journey with Snowflake to ensure they realise premium value via their Snowflake investment.
- Deploy your excellent analytical skills to benchmark value realisation, model ROI and present comparative analysis between competing investment options.
- Position technology solutions within a business framework that make real economic sense for our customers.
- Create & deliver business outcome and value messaging relevant to and aligned with various customer CXO roles.
- Drive business value discovery workshops with CXO, BU leads and practitioners.
- Recommend compelling investment strategies for Snowflake that will allow us to deliver exceptional customer value and profitable business.
- Support the development of new collateral and tools to further evolve the Value Engineering practice.
- Educate Snowflake sales teams on value engineering best practices to further elevate value-based selling delivery.
- Up to 60% travel to support sales efforts and industry events.
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS:
- 8+ years of experience in designing and building solutions that demonstrate technical, financial and business value.
- Proven experience delivering qualitative and quantitative business cases.
- Superb communication and customer skills.
- Proven ability to be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer success.
- Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills, able to develop ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases.
- Deep knowledge of & ability to demonstrate practical use of IRR, NPV & Payback.
- Industry benchmarking experience in major industries such as: Financial Services, Retail & CPG, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, Healthcare.
- A passion for and experience with cloud solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an exciting, fast growing Cloud leader as a pivotal member of the APAC team. You can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and must be prepared to travel (when travel is possible).
