AS A PRINCIPAL ENGINEER IN DATA GOVERNANCE AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Work closely with PMs to drive projects from idea formulation to design and implementation.
- Lead the design and implementation of data governance features.
- Work closely with architects and PMs to shape product visions.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15+ years of experience in distributed systems, including some data warehouse or data infrastructure software development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams through complex product development lifecycles.
- Strong experience in database security or building data governance systems.
- Expert-level development skills in Java and SQL.
- Experience in building RBAC (role based access control) systems is a plus.
- Experience in policy framework is a plus.
- Experience in database engine development is a plus.
- Experience with building large scale and sophisticated pipelines is a plus.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experience.
