Snowflake's partner network is an integral part of our business, and our valued patterns such as system integrators, technology or cloud service providers help customers unlock the power of the Snowflake Data Cloud. Snowflake’s partner sales organization is actively seeking an Associate Partner Sales Engineer to join the partner sales engineering training program called ”Snowmaker”. Success in this position requires the candidate to be a technical specialist by aligning with key programs and educating/upskilling partners on key platform features and their business benefits.
Snowmaker’s purpose is to develop aspiring technical talent through a combination of education and mentorship. This six month program offers comprehensive technical and sales skills training through a combination of classroom sessions, shadowing and mentoring from alliances leaders and partner sales engineering peers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn Snowflake’s technology portfolio, the needs and business challenges of customers in every industry, and Snowflake's sales process. You’ll do so while applying your technical aptitude, exceptional communication and creative problem-solving skills on a daily basis. Upon successful completion of the program, you will join our regional partner sales engineering organization and contribute to the success of the team.
AS AN ASSOCIATE PARTNER SALES ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Learn the latest Snowflake product updates and best practices
- Run training sessions, workshops, and webinars to help partners become proficient in using the Snowflake platform
- Be an advocate for your partners to the Snowflake account teams
- Support our partners when engaged in customer opportunities
- Keep Partners up-to-date on key Snowflake product updates and future roadmaps to help them represent Snowflake to their clients covering the latest technology solutions
- Influence where Snowflake can have the most impact on our partners’ go-to-market offerings
- Run technical enablement programs to provide best practices, and solution design workshops to help Partners create effective solutions
- Help solution providers/practice leads with the technical strategies that enable them to sell their offerings on Snowflake
- Help develop and launch joint differentiated solution offerings with Partners
- Share customer success stories & case studies to showcase the positive impact of Snowflake
- Engage in forward strategic thinking - quickly grasping the essence of new concepts and business value messaging
OUR IDEAL ASSOCIATE PARTNER SALES ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
- A passion for technology, a willingness to learn and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity with presenting sessions on various technical topics
- Broad experience with any of the major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
- Experience in any data science programming languages: Python, SQL, Scala, Spark
- Experience using big data or cloud integration technologies such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, etc. or integration platforms such as Matillion, FiveTran, Informatica, dbtCloud, etc.
- Hands-on experience in designing and building highly scalable data pipelines using Spark, Kafka to ingest data from various systems
- General understanding of Partner sales business and the challenges they face
