About The Team
The Behaviors team at SmartThings is seeking a Summer Intern who will embed within our team to enhance our automation capabilities. There will be opportunities to commit code to some of our most critical services as well as to learn from talented senior engineers. You will be given the flexibility to innovate, design and make suggestions on some of the complex problems we are challenged with
About The Role We are looking for knowledgeable and motivated individuals with an interest in backend web development, API interactions and cloud based micro services.
Key Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will be dependent on candidate’s experience, skill set and interests - collaborate with the team to choose from a number of possible project ideas.
Work with an established team on a self directed project with mentorship from senior engineers.
Build tools to improve the ability of the team to identify the root cause of issues reported by our customers & quality assurance teams.
Integrate with HTTP APIs of various systems such as the SmartThings API, JIRA, Slack, etc..
