About The Team At SmartThings, large scale is a way of life. Hundreds of thousands of hubs and millions of devices interact with our platform on a daily basis generating billions of events - and the future is bright for those numbers to go up! The Hub to Cloud (H2C) team is responsible for maintaining connectivity between all of the hubs and the SmartThings Platform. We do this using an event-driven architecture spanning multiple services where uptime and low-latency are always the first requirement. Our goal is to make the end user's experience better by developing a low-latency, fault-tolerant, and scalable edge platform.
H2C is at the forefront of integrating new technologies and methodologies, many of which are being adopted by other teams at the company after we've laid the foundation. Build and maintain cloud services that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and influence strategy within the team’s area of responsibility.
Improve quality, uptime, and monitoring for all existing applications and apply best practices for new development.

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Minneapolis is expected to be between $108,743 and $157,677
