Backend Software Engineer - Vigilance

What are we looking for and what will you do?

We are looking for a sharp Backend Engineer who will take part in the architecture, design, implementation and testing of the web application for our internal Vigilance MDR team (security operations & incident response outsourcing/augmentation service of SentinelOne, the fastest of its kind on the planet).

The application we are developing enables MDR security analysts to handle large numbers of detected threats collected from all subscribed customers. As such, this application must present relevant information at hand, be highly performant and allow analysts to be extremely efficient. It must not create any obstacles that would prevent analysts from correctly resolving threats and actually guide them towards fast and correct resolution.

You will be involved in the whole SW development process - from product discovery, through designing architecture, implementation and testing to delivery to production and subsequent monitoring. 

Tech stack: Kotlin, Spring framework family (boot, web, web-flux, cloud), Gradle, Jooq; Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt, AWS, GCP; GithubActions, ArgoCD; Postgres, Kafka, Redis

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

• 2+ years of experience with high-performance micro-service-based backend systems
• Proficiency in one of the following programming languages in a backend environment - Java, Kotlin
• Experience developing cloud-native solutions (our services typically are containerized in Docker, deployed with Kubernetes and run in AWS/GCP) and data pipelines
• Experience working with databases (both SQL an NoSQL)
