Software Engineer

Sensibo is looking for a versatile Software Engineer who's passionate about back-end development, physical products and building scalable and resilient systems. An experienced engineer with an ownership mentality to take a leading role in building our indoor climate system.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on complex development

• Build a great consumer experience for hundred of thousands of users

• Initiate and own projects, work with stakeholders to define features and scope, and guide decisions and tradeoffs

• Work with a variety of programming languages and platforms (Python, Go, C, Terraform, K8S, Elasticsearch, MySQL, AWS S3, AWS SQS, Redis, etc.)

• Thrive in a collaborative environment involving various stakeholders (product, analytics, engineering, and more) within the company by planning, brainstorming, and sharing feedback.
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining complex backend systems using a modern programming language, preferably Python, C

• Have a continuous improvement mindset

• Strive to uphold top-notch software engineering practices such as high-quality code, thorough testing, detailed monitoring, etc.

• Ability to learn new software languages and platforms quickly

• Responsibility and sense of urgency

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• A can-do approach and a positive attitude

• Professional English proficiency

We'd love it if you have:

A maker mindset

A passion for building products and tools that consumers love to use

Previous experience and understanding of low level code and networking

Experience with large scale distributed system

Experience with various data stores and pipelines such as Redis, ElasticSearch, MySQL

Experience with AWS public cloud
Experience with K8S or other container management platforms
