Job Description

To expand the team operating in the Energy sector, we are looking for a HVAC Engineer - Mechanical & Plumbing Systems Specialist.

Location: Milan, Italy

Your mission will be to ensure, for the assigned projects, the engineering activities related to mechanical & plumbing systems for buildings, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning: air distribution and chilled/hot water piping, direct expansion and any other air conditioning system), Plumbing (potable water, condensate water, sewage and drainage, compressed air and fluids piping), Fire Fighting (active water base, clean agent and other systems) and Elevator/Lift and mobile escalator (scope and design coordination).

Key activities and responsibilities

• Participate to the design activities for Mechanical & Plumbing Systems serving buildings, through the design of specific/critical items and/or the validation of the documentation produced by other project colleagues, guaranteeing the quality of the design activities/documentation of competence and the compliance to contractual requirements, time and budget;
• Ensure coordination with other disciplines, to integrate elements coming from other Functions to the design activities of competence;
• Carry out the calculation, the technical offer tabulation and verification of the Vendor's reports, also accepting their final reports;
• Cooperate in creation and follow up of the integrated 3D building model developed with BIM approach for the owned disciplines;
• Ensure support to the Functions responsible for construction, commissioning and testing activities, based on the project needs;
• Support the Project Leader both in the proposal and execution phases, preparing/revising the "material requisition (M.R.) and work requisition (W.R.)", ascertaining their compliance with the technical requirements, the contractual provisions and the basic specifications;
• Support the Materials & Work Quantities Estimating & Management activities for the quotation of the installation quantities related to the relevant construction activities;
• Participate to the preparation/update of the Standards/Procedures/Work Instructions related to the specific area of competence;
• Keep himself/herself up to date about the specific discipline and participate to the technical training with the aim of improving the design capability in the specific discipline of the group, also to transfer knowledge to the colleagues.

Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Fluent English and Italian
• Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
• Attention to details;
• Previous experience in the role: 2+ years for Specialist, 5+ years for Engineer
