Description

Securly is seeking to hire a Senior Build and release Engineer.

Job title: Senior Build and release Engineer

Responsibilities:

Manage and implement all phases of build, release and environment management for a distributed team
developing engineering software.
Write, implement, schedule and manage automated build
scripts.
Improve performance and reliability of product builds. Gather needs and develop
scripts to support R&D team and improve productivity.
Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment-Delivery.
Work with all areas of application delivery toensure the build/deploy process is serving the needs of Securly’s business.
Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the final version is up to organizational standards.
Manage build communication channels and document build procedure.
Coordinate build schedules between Development, Database, QA, and Operations. Automate the process of new builds
loaded onto the hardware/cloud infrastructure.
Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements:

Must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or closely related (or foreign
equivalent) and 2 years of experience in Build and Release Engineering.
Must possess experience or a background in:
1) Programming Languages: Bash, Python, Groovy;
2) Operating Systems: Linux / Unix;
3) Databases: Redis, MySql, Elasticsearch;
4) SoftwareDevelopment Tools: Jenkins administration, Jira and Confluence administration, AWS
Management, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD);
5) Cloud PlatformDeployment: AWS CodeDeploy, Load Balancer, and Autoscaling;
6) Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes;
7) Use of version control systems, such as Git,
and use of Github or Bitbucket; and
8) Developing plans and processes to create well-
integrated build and release systems
